I like books. I have since I was a little kid growing up amidst stacks of old books and massive bookcases filled with even more old, musty books.. There were classics that had withstood the test of time and books that had long been forgotten. Some were leather and beautifully bound and some were dilapidated with disintergrating, yellowed pages and sadly broken spines. Some were ornately decorated with rich leather bindings and others just plain janes, but to me, they were all priceless. With the exception of a few dozen or so, those books were consumed in a fire and are physically long gone, existing only in childhood memories, but the wonderful stories, pictures and engravings they contained are still with me.

These days, I dabble in collecting books. I don't purchase anything terribly rare or expensive, but I find that it a fun and enjoyable hobby. I get to relive my childhood by visiting used bookstores and spending a few hours pouring over old tomes and smelling that awesome "old book" smell. There really is nothing like curling up on the couch with an old book in your hand. Sometimes I collect and don't even have to leave the house! Ebay can be a great source for books and at very reasonable prices. Quite often, you can find a classic book cheaper on Ebay than you can buy it new.
