Snoggling at Trang, Thailand

I love to travel, these are places I went. I grew up in Thailand, so I know this country better than any places in the world. I went to Australia when I was 16 years old, and I remember how much I was excited to get out of the country for the first time. In 2006 I had a chance to come to America where I have been living until now. I went to Bali, Indonesia last summer (2009), I enjoyed that little Island a lot, and would love to go back there again some day. I don't know when my new journal will happen again, but I know it will always fun.

Please enjoy your trip with me.

Thailand

Chiang Mai is the big city in the North of Thailand. It's the most cool weather compare to the other part of Thailand. Chiang Mai is one of my favorite, and a very cool city in Thailand. It is mixed with old fashion and modern together very well. There is still plenty of naturals, if you like hiking or biking, you will very enjoy this place. You can also find an interesting tour package for a reasonable price. I took a day tour last summer(2009) to a fresh market, an elephant ride, hiking, a waterfall,a bamboo rafting, and a rubber boat rafting for about 700 baht (around $21-$25) There are also various choices of the tour that you can pick. The Northern foods are different from the others. They are unique and delicious. I like Sai-Ua (herb-sauce sage),and Nam-Prik-Num (green eggplant sauce), etc.

Grand Palce

There was another place where I would call "A Hippy Town". It is Pai, it located in Mae-Hong-Sorn province. I call this town Hippy because during the day you might rent a motor-bike to see places in town, then at night everybody will come to the bars at the main street to drink and have conversation with strangers (I mean other tourist like us). This town is very small, so if you stay there at least two night you will probly remember almost everybody. You can go there by public transportation; a bus or a van or you can rent a car. It is very challenge to drive to Pai by yourself because you will have to drive up the mountain the whole way on a very narrow road for around 3 hours, but when you get there, you will know that it worth the try. It cost me 300 baht round trip for the van (it is a little bit more expensive compare to a bus, but it's more comfortable and faster). If I go there again next time, I would like to go there by bus.

Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand. You can go to the Grand Palce, then ride a boat in Chao Praya River which is the main river in Thailand. At night you can go to the biggest Flower Market in Thailand named Pak-Klong-Talad. In the same area you can go to Khao San Road. It is the favorite spot for all young tourists; it's a road filled with bars, night clubs and restuarants. You can also buy handmade products from this place. During the day on the weekend you can enjoy walking at Jatujak Market or JJ Market. You won't believe that you will find anything you want from that market. Tuk Tuk

Phuket is in the South of Thailand. If you love white sand and clear ocean water, you will love Phuket. A lot of tourists know Phuket as one of the most popular place to go in Thailand. Patong Beach is the most famous, and it's good to start from here before you explore to the other beach in Phuket.

Nakhon S Thammarat is in the South and also my hometown where is not popular for the tourist. If you go there you might want to go see "Wat Pramahathat or Phra That Nakhon" It is a very old temple and beautiful. People in the area are very respect to the Je-di. (We believe that the Jeidi contained the bone of Bhudda)

Australia

Adelaide is the capital city of the South Australia. The town I lived was small, nice and quiet. You can go to the zoo to hold the Koala Bear and feed the Kangaroo.

America

I used to live in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey. It is a small town. You can take a train for an hour to New York City. After a year I moved to Millbrae, CA. It is 20 minutes drive from San Francisco, CA. I like this place a lot because I can drive to the Half Moon Bay beach for only 20 minute. The weather is perfect, and the area is very nice. It's very convenience to take a train to the city. It's not too far from Santa cruz beach either. You can go see the Golden Gate Bridge, Coint Tower, Water Front to see the sea lions laying down at Pier 39, and the things around the pier. Now I am living in Boston. It is a historic place. You can follow the freedom trail, and see things around Boston. There are a lot of attractive places for tourists; Quincy Market, North End, Boston Common, Museum of Fine Art, etc.

Bali, Indonesia

Fisher Man in BaliI didn't expect to go to Bali, but I went anyway. It's a very beautiful and unique Island. Balinese people are very kind and sincere. They can speak English very well, so you won't have to worry about communication. The weather is perfect, you don't need any air conditioner. The cool nice breeze from the ocean is the best. I didn't have a problem with mosquitoes like other places I went. You can take a plane to Denpasar Airport and start from Kuta Beach. You can find a hotel/motel from $8-$100. I would recommend Bamboo Inn where I stayed last time. The place was nice and clean, it cost only $12 per night for 2 people. You can walk about 15-20 minutes to Kuta Beach. I rented a motor bike to go around the Island. It cost cheaper if you rent it for a month than rent it per day. I got a good deal for about $30 per month. There is a lot of fun things to do around Kuta beach. From there you can find the way to other places by asking people or get a map.

If you are a fan of surfing, this place will be your paradise. Most of the beaches in Bali you can surf. It is the world class wave and famous. Pro-surfers from around the world came here all the time. The big surfing company always sponsor for both local and Professional surfers to compete all year.
